.

so, i was asking everyone a while ago what they feel most femenine in and everyone said underwear, so i want to encorporate those elements in my designs however i need to be careful that i'm not creating an underwear collection.
i was having a look through WGSN today and came across some catwalk garments and really liked how they took inspiration from underwear but in a sophisticated way..

i really like the use of embroidery covering certain areas of the body here, the use of sequins also makes it look very femenine.

i like the use of weaving here as you can add different layers and contors in certain areas to create volume and definition.

i really like the ruffles here. i really like the fact they create volume around areas where it it lost - e.g (on a man) the hips. it can also be used to discuise features such as broad shoulders.

refering back to underwear and femeninity, these lace garments really soften a look of the person wearing them. i really like the ones where there just around the boobs though, it adds a 'sexy' look however still keeping it classy.

- i really like the picture where the embelishment is built up around the neckline. i think i'm going to look into
