"sorry, this shop is for transvestites only darling"

safe to say i've never felt in the wrong gender before but today after only getting through the first door at 'transformation' i felt a little rejected!
so fair enough transgender people have to feel that they can go to a place thats safe without the general public invading but i was slightly dissapointed when i couldn't get an insight into how they 'transform' men into women through the art of make-up/wigs as it would have been interesting to use the tips for our photoshoot.

what i also found interesting was the location of this shop. it was right in the middle of hansworth on this random street, surrounded by, well, not the nicest of folk. i couldn't help but think as i was gazing at the surroundings how this reflected the actual trans community and how they are normal people, living normal lives in normal communities. the shop (on it's own in a street full of houses) also reflected (to me) how they stand out so much even in society these days..
